Maulid Al-Nabi: Odunmbaku Greets Muslims, Urges Prayer For Peace And Harmony
Ojodu Local Council Development Area Executive Chairman on Tuesday celebrated the birth anniversary of Prophet Muhammad SAW, also known as Maulid Al-Nabi, a day of spiritual significance in Islam.
Odunmbaku, in his greeting message issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Jumu’ah Abiodun, on the occasion of Maulid Al-Nabi, wished more progress and prosperity to Muslims in the country and other parts of the world.
“On the occasion of Maulid Al-Nabi, the birthday of Prophet Muhammad SAW, good wishes to all our Muslim brothers and sisters in Nigeria and abroad. Let us follow his teachings, work and pray for the well-being of society and peace and harmony in the country.”
The history of Maulid Al-Nabi goes back to the early days of Islam when people gathered to read poetry and sang verses to honour Prophet Muhammad. The Prophet’s life and teachings, as reflected in the Hadith, continue to influence believers.
