Manchester City Slip Up At Home To Bielsa’s Leeds
Leeds United pulled off one of the surprise results of the Premier League season after beating Manchester City 2-1 at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
Stuart Dallas gave Marcelo Bielsa’s side the lead just shy of half time, but they were reduced to 10 men almost immediately into the second half as Liam Cooper was shown a straight red card. Ferran Torres equalised in the 76th minute, yet Dallas popped up in second-half stoppage time to score a late winner for Leeds.
Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City will look to immediately respond when they face Borussia Dortmund at Signal Iduna Park in the second leg of their Champions League quarter-final tie on Wednesday.
City remain 14 points clear at the top of the Premier League table, but they have now played two games more than second-placed Manchester United.
