Liverpool have signed Monaco midfielder Fabinho Tavares in a 50 million euro transfer.
The 24-year-old will take the place of Emre Can, who is set for Juventus, and he will be given the number six shirt.
“It is something that I have always wanted. It is a great club, the facilities at the club are exceptional,” he said.
“A club of this side is what I hoped for and did not have to think much about it.
“It will be a step up for me in my career and I hope to win a lot of trophies here. I hope to grow, learn and become a part of the history of Liverpool.”
