Leicester Fight Back Against Liverpool, Hand Them Third Loss In A Row

Spread the love

Liverpool’s woes continue after former manager Brendan Rodgers’ Leicester side inflicted their third consecutive Premier League loss.

The defeat means that Jurgen Klopp’s men could fall to fourth place by the end of this gameweek if Chelsea or West Ham win on Monday.

Liverpool did take the lead with a fine effort from Mohamed Salah in the 67th minute but Leicester responded well.

James Maddison got the equaliser 12 minutes after Salah’s opener and the home side were ahead just three minutes later when Jamie Vardy capitalised on a defensive mix up to score in an empty goal.

Harvey Barnes put the game beyond doubt four minutes later with a tidy finish after being played in nicely by Wilfred Ndidi.

The result puts Leicester City second and within four points of Manchester City, who have two games in hand.

Liverpool meanwhile have lost three in a row for the first time under Klopp and lose from a winning position for the first time since April 2017.
