LeBron James Is The Most Insulted Athlete On Twitter: 110,811 Times More Than Cristiano Ronaldo
LeBron James may be one of the most popular sportsmen on the planet, but despite his popularity, the LA Lakers star is one of the most abused athletes on Twitter.
James has a whopping 49.8 million followers on Twitter and is extremely active on the platform. This season though, James was unable to take the Lakers to the NBA finals, as they were beaten by the Phoenix Suns in the Western Conference finals first round.
Data published by Pickwise, has shown that James received 122,568 messages on Twitter between June 2020 and June 2021 which contained abusive language. That works out to be 336 abusive messages a day.
Putting that into perspective, second place on the list is taken by Marcus Rashford who only got 32,328 such messages over the same time period. While Cristiano Ronaldo only received 11,757 abusive messages, 110,811 less than LeBron James. Tom Brady is third on the list as he received 28,151 messages.
