A conversation with Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger was what ultimately swayed striker Alexandre Lacazette into choosing them over Atletico Madrid last summer.
During the transfer window, the France international was one of the most sought-after players, having finally decided to bring his time at Lyon to an end.
“What really made me want to come here was a conversation I had with the coach,” the forward told Arsenal’s official website.
“We talk a lot about the little things and what I can do to improve as a player.”
While Los Rojiblancos had been among the frontrunners along with Arsenal, he ultimately opted for a move to London for a fee of close to 60 million euros.
