Alexis Sanchez was due to be back at Arsenal training this weekend, following his post-Confederations Cup holiday, but he has claimed to be ill and his return was, therefore, postponed.
The Chilean posted a photo on Instagram in which he claimed he wasn’t feeling well, which further fuelled rumours that he plans to leave the Emirates this summer.
Arsene Wenger has claimed he fully trusts the player and said that he phoned him when he learned he was feeling off, however Mail Sport have reported that the Gunners sent a doctor to the player’s house, just to make sure that he wasn’t feigning his illness.
If true, it is a move which may not sit well with the forward.
