Ibrahimovic Misses Penalty As Milan Beat Bologna

Spread the love

AC Milan extended their lead at the top of Serie A to five points with a 2-1 win over Bologna at the Stade Renato Dall’Ara on Saturday.

The visitors were awarded the chance to open the scoring from the spot when Mitchell Dijks pulled back Rafael Leao in the penalty area.

Lukasz Skorupski dived low to his right to keep out Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s spot-kick – denying the Swede his 500th career club goal in the process – only for Ante Rebic to gobble up the rebound.

When Milan were given another penalty in the second half, Ibrahimovic didn’t take, with Frank Kessie instead converting for a two-goal lead.

Andrea Poli pulled a goal back for the hosts in the final ten minutes but Milan held on to go five points clear of second-place Inter, who play Benevento on Saturday night.
