Hazard’s Eternal Love For Madrid: He Doesn’t Want To Renew With Chelsea

Reports suggest that Eden Hazard hasn’t signed a contract renewal with Chelsea in order to help broker a hypothetical move to Real Madrid, something the player’s father, Thierry, would be keen on.

Hazard has spoken in the past of his admiration for Los Blancos, although more recently he’s been evasive on the subject.

“Eden, has rejected a contract extension,” Thierry Hazard said to reporters.

“In order to serve the interest of Real Madrid, where he will look good.”

Hazard’s father, however, did go on to reveal that the Chelsea star also hasn’t yet signed anything with Zinedine Zidane’s side.

“At this moment, there is no deal with Real,” he continued.

Hazard, 26, left Belgium at a very young age, and learned his trade within the Lille academy.

He made his way up through the ranks to play for Lille’s first team in 2007, and then went on to win the league and the league cup in France in 2011.

A year later, Hazard made the move to Chelsea, where he has since received four Ballon d’Or nominations and won the Premier League in 2015 and 2017.
