Governor Adeleke, Sultan, Ooni Inaugurates Minaret University Ikirun
The Governor of Osun State, His Excellency, Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke, the Sultan of Sokoto and President Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs, His Eminence, Alhaji Sa’ad Abubakar and the Ooni of Ife, His Imperial Majesty Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, are scheduled to inaugurate the commencement of academic session and investiture of the pioneer Vice Chancellor for The Minaret University Ikirun, Osun State, South-west Nigeria.
The official inauguration ceremony of Minaret University, Ikirun and the Investiture of the Pioneer Vice-Chancellor inuagurated today (5th of February) at the temporary site of the faith based university owned by the global Ahmadiyya Muslim Community.
The Amir, Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at of Nigeria and Chancellor Minaret University, Barrister Alatoye Azeez Folorunso, officially presented the pioneer Vice Chancellor Professor Abdul Rahman Abdullah to the academic and host community in Ikirun.
Minaret University Ikirun was among the new private universities granted licences by the Nigerian government in 2025.
The faith based university added to the growing number of private universities in Osun state and Nigeria.
Minaret University has also launched it’s first publication on global peace as one of the foremost centers of academic excellence in Nigeria and globally.
The book entitled: The Super Powers – Geopolitics of World War and The Pathway To Peace , is written by Hafiz Yunus Omotayo, a Missionary of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at of Nigeria and Journalist.
The Ahmadiyya Muslim Community globally is noted for promoting peace across the world.
