Exclusive: Cardi B Is Not The First African-American To Seek Nigerian Citizenship – Dabiri-Erewa
The Chairman/CEO Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM), Hon. Abike Dabiri-Erewa, has reacted to the trending tweet of American Singer, Cardi B seeking for Nigeria’s citizenship.
Recall that American rapper, Cardi B declared that she is filing for Nigerian citizenship, after American president,Trump authorized a military strike that killed Major-General Qassem Soleimani, the second most powerful man in Iran.
Dabiri-Erewa in an exclusive interview with worldtopnewsng.com, disclosed that Cardi B is not the first African-American to seek for Nigerian citizenship.
She disclosed further to worldtopnewsng.com that since last three years lot of African-Americans have been seeking for Nigerian citizenship.
“Cardi B is not the first African-American to seek Nigerian citizenship.”

“In the last three years since we have been organizing the Door of Return, a lot of African-Americans have been inadvertently seeking Nigerian citizenship , with many having done their DNA which reveals they are Nigerian.”
“We will continue to receive Africans in Diaspora who want to connect back to the Motherland Africa’, particularly Nigeria, and work with appropriate agencies to make their homecoming joyful.”
Another President Muhammadu Buhari‘s aide, Bashir Ahmad, on social media has reacted to the trending news about Cardi B’s application for Nigerian citizenship.
Since the singer made the announcement, Nigerians on social media have been pointing out that her choice of the country clearly shows that Nigeria is bigger than Ghana.
Joining the bandwagon, Bashir said that Nigeria vs Ghana debate is closed following the decision of the multi-award winning singer.He made this known via his official Twiter handle.
