Ex-Minister Of State For Defence, Sen Musiliu Obanikoro Loses Mum
Alhaja Wasilat Obanikoro, mother of former Minister of State for Defence, Senator Musiliu Olatunde Obanikoro is dead.
Worldtopnewsng.com learnt that the late Alhaja Obanikoro died early this morning, Saturday, June 3rd, 2017. She was aged 95.
She will be buried in accordance with Islamic injunctions today at Ikoyi Cemetery at 3pm.
Prayers will later be held for the deceased at her residence at Gemade Estate, Lagos Island after the interment.
The deceased Obanikoro Matriach revealed, had been sick for quite sometime which has prevented the ex-Nigerian High Commissioner to Ghana from travelling abroad. He had stayed back at home to attend to her needs.
Senator Obanikoro, a former Chairman of Lagos Island Local Government and one time Commissioner for Home Affairs and Culture in Lagos State, was also not able to attend his daughter’s graduation in the United States of America last month due to his mother’s sickness.
