Etsako East Council Switches To Digital Style Of Governance
The performing Chairman of Etsako East Local Government Hon. (Princess) Benedicta Attoh has assured that Etsako East Local Government would be among the first local governments in Nigeria to migrate from an analogue system of operations into digital governance under her era as the chairman of the council.
She said the opportunities associated with digital governance outweigh the challenges in terms of service delivery. She mentioned some of the opportunities to include improvement in efficient service delivery, enhanced easy storage and retrieval of information, human resources development, as well as ease of conducting government business.
Princess Benedicta Attoh who addressed the media during the ongoing E-Government training organized by the Edo State Government to empower the local government workforce said Etsako East Council will immediately embark upon digital infrastructural development to fastrack the comprehensive digital governance initiatives.
The Council Chairman who expressed her willingness to partner with relevant digital organizations in achieving her objectives also appealed to local Government workers to open up themselves to new knowledge and be willing to develop themselves to remain relevant in the current digital dispensation in line with the new direction of the public service system.
