Christian Eriksen is now fully recovered from his cardiac arrest during Euro 2020 and is now ready to make a return to professional football.

The 29-year-old brought the footballing world to a stop when, during the first half of Denmark vs Finland, he collapsed to the ground.

He has been training for a number of months to get back to fitness and he has passed every medical test he has been asked of in that time.

The Dane still has hopes of representing his country again at the 2022 Qatar World Cup in November but he would need a club team to be in contention for selection.

The former Ajax, Tottenham and Inter man has reportedly been speaking to a number of clubs about a return to the pitch and he hopes to have a deal done this month before the transfer window closes.

It isn’t imperative that he does this as he is now a free agent after Inter cancelled his contract.

The Italian champions couldn’t play Eriksen due to Serie A rules regarding heart conditions and were therefore forced to end their agreement early.

It is thought that Eriksen wants a return to England with three Premier League clubs in the running but there is also interest from the Netherlands and other countries in Europe.
