Ekiti 2018: Oluyede Urges APC To Zone Ticket To South Senatorial District

An All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship aspirant in Ekiti State, Dr Wole Oluyede, has urged the party to adopt zoning to the South Senatorial district of the state in handling possibility for the 2018 governorship poll in the state to ensure fairness.

Oluyede, a leading aspirant from the South Senatorial area of the state who guaranteed that APC will win if the party could embrace zoning of the governorship ticket toward the South for the 2018 election in the state, called attention to that the general population of the South senatorial area in the state have been underestimated in this perspective, previously, saying is presently their swing to deliver the following Governor for the state.

The Australian based medicinal specialist who expressed this in Ado Ekiti over the weekend while paying an acclimation visit to the party’s EXCO at the APC secretariat situated in Ajilosun territory of the capital city, depicted the fomentation for zoning as an offspring of need that would not just infuse value and fairplay in the appropriation of elective positions in the state , yet would make it easier for APC to win the poll.

While urging the party to be fair in its consideration for zoning, the unmistakable child of Ikere Ekiti however assured that he won’t play a spoiler’s role if not given the party’s flag, demanding that ‘but the party must be fair and just in the conduct of the primary.

Oluyede who was accompanied to the party secretariat by his darling wife, Olukemi also disclosed his intention to ensure that Ekiti state benefit from the proposed Malaysian firm’s $18 million palm tree investment in Africa aid, added that he had already sealed a deal with a firm in Malayasia for the planting of 10,000 stands of palm trees in Ekiti. This he said will come to fruition whether his ambition is realizable or not.

“I had visited the Malaysian firm and it intended to invest $18million in Africa and Ekiti will benefit whether I become Governor or not. I need is for people to show interest, because only vocation and skills acquisition can bail out our youths from unemployment.

“Farming has become a good investment even in advanced climes and I want to say that I will spend my time in the farm even as a governor to encourage the civil servants, young school leavers and artisans to return to the farm.

“I want to say there is nowhere in the world where people only depend on government for business. With me as your governor, I will promote business in Ekiti and diversify our economy so that we can stop depending solely  on federal allocation”.added.

Oluyede’s entourage were to the party secretariat include, a governorship aspirant of the party, Rt Hon. Dele Ogungbemile; Evang. Ilori; Mrs Adesunmi; Hon. Sunday Adu; Hon. Ogundele, Gabriel; Mrs Bola Ilugbusi; Mr. Olaiya Akinola; Mr. Tunji Oluwaniyi, Hon Chief Sola Ojo; and Mr Olotu; Alhaja Risi Lawal.
