As Muslims across the country are in the mood of celebrating Eid-l-Fitri, the Lagos State All Progressives Congress (APC) Chairman, Chief Henry Oladele Ajomole, while congratulating and rejoicing with them on the successful completion of the month long fast of Ramadan and the beginning of Shawwal has called on all on them to seize the opportunity to pray for National unity.
According to him, since Islam is a religion of peace and unity, all Muslim brothers and sisters across the country should be seeing preaching and praying for unity and peace of Nigeria at this critical period.
Ajomole in his Eid-l-Fitri message to Muslims by his Media Adviser, Peter Ajayi urged all Muslims, instead of seeing the celebrations which last for three days and are seen as a time of forgiveness and of giving thanks to Allah for helping people to complete their spiritual fasting to continue in their peace, loving manners exhibited during the period of fasting.
“For Nigerians to feel the impact of this one month fasting and prayers as recently concluded by Muslims across the world, everyone must rise up against national disintegration, kidnapping, suicide bombing, armed robbery, electoral malpractices and other evil devices while we continue to live together while exhibiting spirit of tolerance, patriotism, compassion and forgiveness”.
Ajomole then called on Muslims across the country not to relent in their efforts to continue to pray for political leaders at all tiers of government as no country succeeds without prayers.
He specifically implored Nigerians to pray for quick recovery of President Muhammadu Buhari who has been out of the country for about fifty days to take care of his health challenges about.
Ajomole also congratulated the National leader of All Progressives Congress, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu for being counted worthy by Almighty Allah to see the end of 2017 Ramadan period.
