The acting Managing Director of the Interim Management Committee of the Niger Delta Development Commission, Prof. Kemebradikumo Pondei, on Monday, collapsed at the ongoing investigative hearing by the House of Representatives.
The MD reportedly slumped at the House Committee on NDDC hearing on the alleged financial scandal rocking the interventionist agency.
He was about 45 minutes into the grilling when he collapsed before the committee probe the IMC for multi-billion naira scandal.
Pondei was being questioned to account for the funds when he suddenly rested his head and subsequently collapsed.
Immediately after he collapsed, the acting Director of Project of the commission, Dr. Cairo Ojougboh rushed to revive him before he was rushed to hospital.
