There was no winner as Manchester United met Manchester City at an empty Old Trafford, with both sides struggling to carve out chances.

There were just two shots on target each in this game, with Riyad Mahrez producing a simple stop from David de Gea in the first half and with Bruno Fernandes testing Emerson.

In the second half, Manchester United thought they’d won a penalty when Kyle Walker fouled Marcus Rashford. However, the spot kick call was overturned by VAR because of an offside in the build-up.

There were a couple of late efforts on target, one from Fernandes and another from Rodri. However, it never looked like there was going to be a winner and both sets of players make the short trip home with the points shared.
