Just In! 24 Killed, Dozens Injured As Blast Hits Kabul

A suicide attacker triggered a car bomb in western Kabul, Afghanistan, in the early hours of Monday, killing at least 24 people and injuring over 40 others reported news agency PTI.

 

 

The number of casualties is expected to rise.

 

 

According to the police, the target of the attack remains unclear. Casualties are feared.

 

 

Many prominent political leaders, including Hazara leader Mohammad Mohaqiq, live in western Kabul. The area has been cordoned off by the local police.

 

 

The attack comes two months after the Islamic State group claimed responsibility for a truck bomb attack, which killed 150 people.
