Explosion In Pakistan’s Quetta, 5 Dead, Several Injured
Five people, including a policeman, were killed and around a dozen injured in an explosion near the Inspector General of Police office early Friday, rescue officials said.
The 14 people injured in the incident and five bodies have been shifted to Civil Hospital. Of the injured, at least four are said to be in critical condition, including a girl around 10 years of age.
Hospital sources said that one of the deceased is a policeman.
An emergency has been declared at Bolan Medical Complex as well as Civil Hospital, said rescue officials.
Security forces have cordoned off the site while rescue services are tending to those injured in the incident.
The nature of the blast has not been ascertained yet.
