Atletico Want Champions League Revenge Against Madrid In Cardiff

Spread the love

Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid are once again in the final rounds of the Champions League, and a repeat could be on the cards in Cardiff, although Los Blancos would much prefer to face the Rojiblancos over two legs.

Madrid is once again the European capital, the epicentre of the game, as recent finals in Lisbon and Milan can attest to.

The majority of the Real Madrid squad already knows what it is like beating Atleti in the final in Lisbon, then once again in the quarter-finals and then the final in Milan.

Monaco and Juventus will look to avoid Spanish teams from dominating the European competition any further, as Massimiliano Allegri has created a team far beyond an impressive defence, whereas Kylian Mbappe symbolises his teams attacking flair and overall excitement.

Thirteen years after their run to the final, Monaco have been quite the surprise, leaving behind teams like Tottenham, Manchester City, and most recently, Borussia Dortmund.

Besides Mbappe, Benjamin Mendy, Tiemoue Bakayoko, Moutinho and ex-Real Madrid Castilla man Fabinho, have all enjoyed stand-out campaigns.

Juventus, in turn, have dominated the Serie A and turned to Europe in search for greater glory, led by their very own BBC.

Nonetheless, all eyes are on the two Spanish sides, as another meeting seems inevitable.

With all on the line, Atletico and Real Madrid will know what it is like to have been there before.
