Atalanta Thrash Crotone At Gewiss Stadium

Atalanta picked up their fourth win in a row in Serie A with a 5-1 victory over Crotone at the Gewiss Stadium in Bergamo.

After Robin Gosens had opened the scoring for the hosts, Simeon Tochukwu Nwankwo netted an equaliser for Crotone.

Gian Piero Gasperini’s side took control of the match in the second half thanks to goals from Jose Luis Palomino and Luis Muriel in quick succession.

Josep Ilicic added a fourth goal just before the hour mark to take the game out of the visitors’ reach before Aleksei Miranchuk rounded off the scoring in the closing stages.

After the disappointment of the first leg defeat in their Champions League tie with Real Madrid, Atalanta continue to show promise that they can turn that deficit around in Spain.
