American Author Anne Rice Dies At Age 80 After A Stroke

Anne Rice, author of ‘Interview with the Vampire’ dies at 80.

Her son, Christopher Rice, informed that Rice had complications after a stroke, causing her death.

“Earlier tonight, my mother, Anne Rice, passed away due to complications resulting from a stroke,” Christopher posted on Twitter. “She left us almost nineteen years to the day my father, her husband Stan, died.”

Christopher also took control of her mother’s Facebook official page, and posted a goodbye message.

“In her final hours, I sat beside her hospital bed in awe of her accomplishments and her courage, awash in memories of a life that took us from the fog laced hills of the San Francisco Bay Area to the magical streets of New Orleans to the twinkling vistas of Southerm California.”

Rice’s biggest success was her first novel published in 1976, ‘Interview with the Vampire.’ She extended the novel into a 13-book chronicles series.

Ane Rice will be buried in a private ceremony in her natal New Orleans. However, Christopher Rice said he’s planning a public memorial for next year
