Ahmadiyya Opens New Clinic Along Zaria Road

The Ahmadiyya Muslim Jamaat Nigeria opens a new clinic along Zaria Road on Saturday, 20th January, 2024.

Located on Zaria Road, the hospital foundation laying ceremony was done by the Emir of Kano, His Royal Highness, Sarkin Kano, Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero in July 2021, assisted by the Commissioner for Health and the Amir Ahmadiyya Muslim Jamaat Nigeria Alhaji Alatoye Folorunso Azeez, at an impressive ceremony.

The hospital is equipped with state-of-the-art medical facilities for 100 patients per day, laboratory tests and general medical consultancy.

The Emir, by his grace, will inaugurate the new hospital accompanied to the event by other traditional rulers within his domain. The leadership of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jamaat Nigeria led by Amir, Alhaji Alatoye Folorunso Azeez, will be in Kano for the epoch-making event.

Other dignitaries expected at the occasion include officials of the Kano State government, agencies, and heads of federal government parastatals and security agencies in the state such as the police Commissioner, National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, the Road Safety among others.

It will be recalled that Ahmadiyya established its the first Muslim hospital in Nigeria in Apapa late 1950s and Bompai Road Kano in 1962, which has been providing health care to the teeming people of Lagos, Kano and beyond.

The hospital in Bompai has a general outpatient, in patients, and a dental centre in the commercial nerve centre of the town.

His Royal Highness appreciated the tremendous efforts of the Ahmadiyya Muslim community to health and education development in Nigeria and globally.

The Late Mallam Aminu Kano, a former Federal Commissioner for Telecommunication, corroborated the Emir’s remarks in 1967 when he visited the first Ahmadiyya Clinic in Apapa, Lagos. He was quoted then as saying,” The government and people of this country are appreciative of the humanitarian, religious and educational work Ahmadiyya Mission in Nigeria.”

Ahmadiyya Muslim Jamaat Hospitals are located in New Bussa, Niger State Apapa, Ojokoro, Lagos State, and Ijebu Ode, Ogun State.

The Federal Capital Territory will soon get a hospital as lands have been acquired in Gwadalada, Central Business District, and along Keffi – Abuja expressway Road.
