Zamzam Water, Hajj Certificates Ready For Pilgrims

Zamzam water for all 2017 Hajj Nigerian pilgrims has been air freighted to Nigeria and would be distributed to the pilgrims as they return home after Hajj, the Amirul Hajj and Commissioner for Home Affairs, Lagos State, Dr. AbdulHakeem AbdulLateef has said.

Also, Dr AbdulLateef disclosed that the Board has prepared Hajj certificates for the pilgrims adding that all pilgrims will receive their certificates at a later date after arrival in Lagos.

The Amirul Hajj stated this during a meeting with the pilgrims on the departure schedules in Makkah yesterday.

The pilgrims are, therefore, enjoined not to carry the holy water in their luggage adding that every pilgrim would get a 5-litre keg of Zamzam water on arrival at the Murtala Muhammad Airport, Lagos.

He said that each pilgrim would collect his or her keg at the departure center through which they were airlifted to the Kingdom and warned against exploitation of unsuspecting pilgrims over the holy water.

Meanwhile, the Executive Secretary, Lagos State Pilgrims Welfare Board, Alhaji Muftau Okoya has been named the acting Acting Amirul Hajj for the state.

This followed the urgent need for the substantive Amirul Hajj to leave Saudi Arabia immediately to attend to other state assignment. It was gathered that the call was at the instance of Governor Akinwunmi Ambode of the State.
