Dominant Manchester United Brutalise Real Sociedad In Turin

Manchester United beat Real Sociedad 4-0 at the Allianz Stadium in their Europa League round of 32 first leg thanks to a Bruno Fernandes brace and goals from Marcus Rashford and Daniel James.

The match had to be moved to Turin due to the Spanish government’s restrictions on travellers entering the country from England. Nevertheless, the Red Devils were the better side from start to finish and grabbed a comfortable win to practically clinch qualification to the last 16.

La Real goalkeeper Alex Remiro denied Rashford twice in the first 20 minutes, but the England international teed up Fernandes who opened the scoring before the half an hour mark.

The Portuguese midfielder’s second in the match came after the break, with a brilliant effort into the bottom right corner after James’ assist.

Rashford managed to do what he failed to achieve in the first half and finally beat Remiro with an unstoppable strike to put the game to bed for the Red Devils.

James scored twice in the remaining minutes, but his first was ruled our for offside on Mason Greenwood in the build-up.

The two teams face will face each other again in the return leg of the Europa League round of 32 tie on February 25 at 21:00 CET.
