PSG Coach Pochettino Tests Positive For COVID-19
Just a few days after clinching his first trophy as a coach, Mauricio Pochettino has tested positive for COVID-19.
The Argentine coach led his new team Paris Saint-Germain in a 2-1 victory over Marseille in the Trophee des Champions to win the first title in his coaching career.
Through an official statement, PSG confirmed that Pochettino has gone into self-isolation and will follow all health protocols set by the French authorities.
It will be his assistants Jesus Perez and Miguel D’Agostino who will be in charge of the team’s training sessions until the Argentine recovers.
Pochettino will miss out on the game against Angers on Saturday and could also miss the tie with Montpellier on January 22, returning for the duel with Lorient nine days later.
