Unstoppable Haaland Bags Another Brace, Puts Schalke To The Sword
Borussia Dortmund made light work of rivals Schalke on Saturday, as they cruised to a 4-0 win on their rivals’ own patch.
Erling Haaland scored two goals in midweek against Sevilla in the Champions League, and followed that display with another brace against Schalke.
Dortmund took the lead just three minutes before half time through Jadon Sancho and, just a few minutes later, doubled their lead through Haaland.
The English winger turned provider with a cross to the back post, which Haaland converted in spectacular style, as he connected with a sweet scissors kick to give the visitors a two-goal cushion.
Schalke struggled to muster much in attack, as Dortmund dominated the ball and were far more efficient in their overall play.
Dortmund made it 3-0 on the hour mark as Marco Reus set up Raphael Guerreiro, before Haaland completed the rout on 79 minutes, assisted by another Englishman in Jude Bellingham.
