More Good News For Zidane As Four Real Madrid Players Come Back From Injury

Real Madrid’s squad list ahead of their Monday night match against Real Sociedad at the Estadio Alfredo Di Stefano includes more first-team players than the last few squad lists.

After weeks of youth players having to be drafted in, Zinedine Zidane now has some of his senior players at his disposal again.

Marcelo, Fede Valverde, Alvaro Odriozola and Rodrygo have all been named in the squad and the only youth players remaining are Diego Altube, Victor Chust, Sergio Arribas and Hugo Duro.

Valverde and Rodrygo are important to the side as they allow Zidane to tinker with his team to bring fresh legs. Valverde hasn’t featured since January 20, while Rodrygo has been out since December 23.

Marcelo and Odriozola, meanwhile, provide support to the team’s preferred starting full-backs, with the latter’s return especially timely given that Dani Carvajal is one of the players who remains out injured.

Also still missing are Sergio Ramos, Eder Militao, Karim Benzema and Eden Hazard.
