Mbappe To Return For PSG Against Manchester City

Paris Saint-Germain have received a major boost ahead of their Champions League semi final second leg against Manchester City, with Kylian Mbappe having recovered from injury.

The French forward missed PSG’s Ligue 1 clash with Lens on the weekend due to a calf problem, but Mauricio Pochettino has included him in the squad for the Champions League, giving an indication that all is well with Mbappe.

“I am optimistic. We believe that he will be there, but we will make a decision before the game,” Pochettino said after the Lens game.

If he does play, however, PSG will be hoping for a better display than he produced in the first leg.

L’Equipe described his performance as “ghostly” and gave him a 3/10 in their ratings. Despite 27 goals and 17 assists in 45 European games, he couldn’t muster a shot on goal in the first encounter.

Ederson, the Manchester City goalkeeper, touched the ball more times (30) than PSG’s star (29).
