Liverpool cruised into the Champions League quarter-finals on Wednesday with a 2-0 win over RB Leipzig, claiming a 4-0 aggregate victory.

Both legs of the tie were played at Budapest’s Puskas Arena due to travel restrictions brought on because of COVID-19.

Given they had lost their last six home Premier League games, the Reds might have been relieved to be playing the hosts’ role 1,600 kilometres from Anfield.

Mohamed Salah opened the scoring on the night in the 70th minute, and their second came shortly after.

Sadio Mane doubled the scoreline, marking a second 2-0 win for Liverpool over Leipzig in Budapest to see them into the last eight.
