Saturday’s Madrid derby could have a significant impact on LaLiga’s title race, and both sides are in incredible form heading into the showdown.

There is good reason for that, as Los Blancos are ten points ahead of their city rivals in the table, with a game in hand.

The Estadio Santiago Bernabeu is sure to also be another slight advantage, although Los Rojiblancos have won five straight league matches and no longer fear having to play in Real’s stadium as much as they had in the past.

It has been four years, in fact, since Atletico last lost at the Bernabeu.

Atleti have taken the three last derbies away from home, and another win would be their best run in club history.

On the other hand, Real have scored in 51 consecutive games, and failing to do so on Saturday would come as a surprise even against a defence as good as Atletico’s – they have held five clean sheets in their last six LaLiga matches.

It’ll be different this time compared to the first clash in the first round of league fixtures, when a Cristiano Ronaldo hat-trick stunned the Estadio Vicente Calderon.
