Kim Kardashian Finally Addresses Balenciaga BDSM Teddy Bear Scandal
Kim Kardashian who has been a longtime supporter of the Balenciaga fashion house finally addressed the controversial BDSM teddy bear campaign that has sparked social media controversy.
She spoke out after her fans demanded she takes a stand or at least shed some light on her side of the controversy and give her point of view as a model, mother, and supporter of the brand.

I have been quiet for the past few days, not because I haven’t been disgusted and outraged by the recent Balenciaga campaigns, but because I wanted an opportunity to speak to their team to understand for myself how this could have happened.

She began her statement by saying “I have been quiet for the past few days, not because I haven’t been shocked and outraged by the recent Balenciaga campaigns, but because I wanted an opportunity to speak to their team to understand for myself how this could have happened.”
She continued “As a mother of four, I have been shaken by the disturbing images. The safety of children must be held with the highest regard and any attempts to normalize child abuse of any kind should have no place in our society — period.”

She concluded her statement by acknowledging that the brand reacted immediately to the backlash and removed the campaign from all media outlets, “I appreciate Balenciaga’s removal of the campaigns and apology. In speaking with them, I believe they understand the seriousness of the issue and will take the necessary measures for this to never happen again.”
After the removal of the campaign, Balenciaga representatives said that they didn’t know about the campaign until it was too late and said that the responsible parties were the set designer and the production company who are now being sued for $25 million.
