A Rodnei foul on Filipe Luis in the 49th minute of Internacional’s 2-1 loss to Flamengo proved costly for more than one reason.

Rodnei is currently on loan from Flamengo at Internacional, and originally wasn’t supposed to be eligible to feature against his parent club.

He had a pricey ‘fear clause’ in his contract to put Internacional off the idea of using the player against Flamengo, but a supporter of the Porto Alegre club paid a whopping 153,000 euros himself so ensure that Rodnei could play.
