Everton End Arsenal’s Unbeaten Run

Phil Jagielka scored the only goal of the game as Everton beat Arsenal 1-0 at Goodison Park on Sunday afternoon.

Three points for Arsenal would gaveve seen them leapfrog Tottenham into third place, however the Merseysiders scored after just 10 minutes through Jagielka. The centre-back poked home following Dominic Calvert-Lewin‘s header from Lucas Digne‘s long throw-in.

Arsenal had gone six Premier League games without a defeat until the visit to Goodison.

The Gunners improved in the second half, but they never really tested Jordan Pickford and Everton ran out winners for the third consecutive game.
