Gerrard’s 21 goals came in 73 games, Sadio Mane is in third on 17 in 38, Roberto Firmino has 15 in 39 and Spaniard Luis Garcia scored 10 in 24 between 2004 and 2007.

Irish youngster Caoimhin Kelleher impressed again in goal and was unlucky not to keep another clean sheet, only beaten by a second-half penalty from Alexander Scholz.
