ex-ISMAN President, Wasiu As-Sidique’s 30 Years On Stage Holds March 28

The 30th anniversary on stage of the popular Islamic Singer and immediate past President of the Islamic Musicians Association of Nigeria (ISMAN), El-Hadj Wasiu Kayode As-Sidique holds on Sunday, March 28, 2021.

The bash, which was originally slated for last year 2020, according to a statement from his media office made available to the press on Thursday in Lagos, “the ceremony was shifted to this year because of the lockdown occasioned by the dreaded coronavirus code-named COVID-19 that ravaged the whole world last year.”

The Moshood Abiola Polytechnic (MAPOLY), trained journalist cum entertainer further informed that, “the shifting was borne out of our patriotic contribution to curb the spread of the killer disease that can be contracted through body contact,” explaining that, “with the overwhelming number of our fans, well-wishers and admirers, there was no way we could peg the number for attendance.”

The agile and upwardly mobile Islamic crooner however hoped that the second coming of COVID-19 would soon disappear with strict compliance of the public with all the laid down preventive protocols, the March new date would be a reality, assuring however that, “the ocassion would be in conformity with what the authorities endorse for the good and wellbeing of the populace.”

The widely travelled crooner therefore urged the people to observe all the preventive measures spelt out by the government in the fight against the pandemic, asserting that, “prevention is better and even cheaper than cure.”

The brilliant, cheerful and ever smiling entertainer also believed that, the preventive measures of wearing mask, keeping away from crowded places, observing social-distancing, washing and sanitizing the hands as well as keeping hygienic environment could not be too much a burden to observe for the safety of all the people.
