Emulate Self Sacrifice, Senator Alimikhena Urged Muslim

Senate Deputy Chief Whip Senator Francis Alimikhena has urged Muslims in the country to emulate the self-sacrifice attitude of prophet Ibrahim in offering his son, Isma’il as an act of submission to Allah’s command. “As a nation, we need such self-sacrifice for the overall interest of the nation and total Obedience to government policies and decisions in order to maintain a discipline society for the general interest of the nation.

 

 

Senator Alimikhena in his Eid-l-Kabir message to Muslims in Edo North and Nigeria at Large said “the Nigeria of our dream is only possible through self-sacrifice. Eid-l-Kabir is a festival of sacrifice therefore the reason for the Season will not be complete without sacrificing our time, prayers and commitment for the betterment of others. He called on Nigerians to make painful sacrifice for the political and religious stability of the nation.

 

 

In a message made available by his Personal Assistant Benjamin Atu, the Edo North Senator tasked Muslims faithful to imbibe the virtues of Allah and continue to seek the face of Allah concerning the peace, progress and Unity of our nation.
 

While commending Governor Godwin Obaseki for giving Muslim in Edo State their pride of place in his government, Senator Alimikhena assured Muslim in Edo North that he will continue to give them neccessary support and encouragement as their Senator. He  thank the leadership of Islam in Edo North for promoting peace and unity but express worry over frequent attack on farmers and motorist in Edo North thereby creating panic for farmers and others in freely seeking their livelihood. He appealed to those involve in the act to let imbibe the moral lessons of the season and change for peace and development to reign.

 

 

The Senate Deputy Whip also uses the occassion to appeal to all Nigerians to support the Buhari administration by creating the needed environment for him to right every wrong and put the nation back on track. According to him “the economic challenges facing Nigeria is a world problem and should not be seen as a creature of the Buhari administration. Nigeria is our common united entity and not political platform. We must unite as a nation first before we can peacefully pilot affairs of political platform. As leaders, let us focus on the unity of our nation and discourage every hate speeches that is capable of plunging the nation into deeper crisis senator Alimikhena said.
