Sassuolo Produce Great Comeback To Beat AC Milan

Yet another of the European Super League clubs has failed to win this week after Sassuolo came from behind to take all three points at AC Milan.

AC Milan, therefore, missed the opportunity to make up ground on Serie A leaders Inter and trail them by nine points, having played a game more.

While watching their rivals remain in the distance, the Rossoneri will also be looking over their shoulders as they are just two points ahead of Atalanta and four ahead of Juventus, with both still to play their midweek games.

AC Milan took the lead against Sassuolo at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza with almost half an hour played thanks to a Hakan Calhanoglu curling strike from the left-hand side of the box.

The score remained 1-0 until 21-year-old substitute Giacomo Raspadori bagged a seven-minute brace to secure the points for the away side.

Raspadori steered home Jeremy Toljan’s effort in the 76th minute to level the game and then produced a wonderful touch and finish to give the Neroverdi the lead after a pass from captain Domenico Berardi.

It is the first time the Italy under-21 international has scored twice in the same Serie A game and the result leaves Sassuolo just five points behind Roma who sit above them in seventh.
