Hector Bellerin has been the Barcelona board’s focus all summer and now a move for the Arsenal man has been officially ruled out, Cesar Azpilicueta is once again on the club’s transfer radar.
Back in May, MARCA reported on a brief exchange between the Catalans and the player’s representatives to gauge how they could go about formulating a deal, however since then there has been no contact due to Barcelona’s preference for Bellerin.
One man who would rather Azpilicueta sign in any case is Ernesto Valverde, who has now taken the reigns in the Camp Nou dugout.
The former Athletic Club boss has attempted to sign the versatile full-back before and has instructed the board that they must follow through on any chance of bringing the Spaniard to LaLiga this summer.
