Liverpool have announced the signing of Ozan Kabak from Schalke on a loan deal with an option to buy at the end of the season.
The Premier League holders have scrambled to bring in centre-backs on deadline day on Monday, with Kabak following Preston’s Ben Davies through the door at Anfield.
Long-term injuries to Virgil van Dijk and Joe Gomez have left Liverpool short of defenders for much of the season to date.
Neither Nathaniel Phillips nor Rhys Williams have been able to hold down a place in the team, while Jordan Henderson and Fabinho have played out of position at times.
It’s official! 😎@ozankabak4 joins us on loan from @s04 until the end of the season 👊
