Sowore’s Rearrest: Democracy Has Been militarized In Nigeria – YYSA

Spread the love

The apex Yoruba youth body, Yoruba Youth Socio-cultural Association (YYSA) Worldwide spits fire over Sowore’s rearrest by DSS operatives in courtroom.

According YYSA, security agents were being used in Nigeria militarily and anarchically to ensure that Nigerians are totally scotched and become voiceless.

The rearrest of Sowore less than 24 hours after his release from DSS custody shows how rule of law had been peculiarly messed under the present administration.

It has been proven that, perceived enemies of Government have no rights of expression being a fundamental human right as enshrined in the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, despite being bona-fide citizens of this country.

The major feature that distinguished democratic government from military rule is respect for human rights as well as the rule of law. And since the rule of law presently has no stand in Nigeria, the native our president wears is a military uniform in disguise.
