Belgians Gather To Demand Action On Climate Change

Belgian environmentalists have gathered in 100 different locations at several cities in simultaneous demonstrations to draw attention to climate change.

Demonstrators on Sunday gathered at the Mont des Arts Square in the capital Brussels with the theme “Global Climate Strike” on a call from environmentalist associations and non-governmental organizations.

The group, chanting and holding colorful signs, asked for prioritizing global warming and climate change in policy-making processes.

The demonstrations were also held at 100 different locations in the cities of Brussels, Antwerp, Liege, Namur, Hasselt, and Ghent.
