The Network for Democracy and Development (NDD) commiserates with the leadership of the Muslim Community in Nigeria over the death of Alhaji Yusuf Nwoha, Director of Administration at the Headquarters of the Nigerian Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (NSCIA) in Abuja. Alhaji Nwoha died yesterday, Wednesday, July 29, 2020 as a result of motor accident on his way to join his family in the Eastern part of the country for the Eid al-Adha celebration.

Alhaji Yusuf Nwoha, an amiable personality who reverted to Islam almost forty years ago, was a dedicated and respected Muslim leader. He was one of the shining stars of the Muslim Community in Nigeria from the Eastern part of the country. He was a big plus for the Igbo Muslim Community and a pillar of the South East Muslim Organisation (SEMO).

Alhaji Nwoha was a detribalised Nigerian who was at ease and worked genuinely with people from other parts of the country. He was a dedicated public servant who upon retirement was engaged as the Director of Administration by the leadership of NSCIA.

We send our sincere condolences to the family of our beloved departed brother, our Leader, His Eminence, Alhaji Muhammad Sa‘ad Abubakar, mni, CFR, the Sultan of Sokoto and President-General of NSCIA, the leadership of NSCIA and SEMO and indeed all Muslims in Nigeria.

May Allah be pleased with Alhaji Yusuf Nwoha and grant him al-Jannah. May He comfort and strengthen the family that he left behind.
