The National Association of Online Security News Publishers [NAOSNP] joins millions of Nigerians across the world to celebrate the Diamond Jubilee anniversary of Nigeria’s Independence.

NAOSNP is a body of dedicated Professional Journalists and Publishers covering Security and Allied Beats with Special focus on Intelligence News Reportage, Investigative Journalism, Knowledge based Research, exchange and Cross Fertilization of creative ideas aimed at mitigating and managing security challenges in all sectors of the National economy.

During a Press conference in Lagos, the National President of the Association, Oki Samson said that the 60th Independence Anniversary celebration has shown that the struggles of the Proponents were not in vain. As such, Nigeria historical development in the last six decades is unprecedented regardless of the challenges confronting the country.

He charged the Armed Security Personnel and Paramilitary officers to adopt modern and sophisticated technology and mechanism in the fight against insecurity and Crime control in the country. He said “In the 21st century, it is germane to change the approach and redirect our intellects and resources towards combating the security challenges confronting the nation especially Organised crimes such as Armed robbery, Kidnapping, Banditry among others.

Oki further stated that, though, the Security Agencies in the country has proven themselves to be competent over the years and can compete favourably with their foreign counterparts, but there is the need to improve the security architecture across the country and strengthen its synergy among others.

While lending his voice, the National Secretary of NAOSNP, Olabode Adeyeri urged the Citizenry to unite as an entity and shun all acts of divisiveness/division.
In his words, “I am glad that despite the unpatriotic utterances and dispositions of some enemies of the state, Nigeria remains an indivisible entity and with this, the country is on the path of socio-economic development and prosperity.
