The recent unpardonable goof by Sahara Reporters over the purported death of Rt. Hon. Ghali Umar Naaba, the former Speaker of House of Representatives, has proved once again what is already known by many that,  Sahara Reporters is a purveyor of fake news.
Sahara Reporters in its characteristic, unprofessional, and unethical manners had announced the death of Rt. Hon. Ghali Umar Naaba, without cross-checking with him or somebody close to him.
It took a video conversation between the former speaker and Chief Dele Momodu, the boss of Boss Newspapers for Sahara Reporters to realize its unpardonable mistakes before recanting its fake news story.
Rt. Hon. Ghali Umar Naaba certainly was not the first victim of such reckless and unprofessional fake news peddling by Sahara Reporters. There have been many.
Of recent, the same Sahara Reporters have written many unsubstantiated stories against the leadership of Lagos House of Assembly.
In one of such spurious lies, it claimed that the speaker, Rt. Hon. (Dr.) Mudashiru Ajayi Obasa used some companies as fronts to award contracts to himself and family members.
Both the speaker and the Clerk of the House, Mr. Azeez Sanni denied this and challenged Sahara Reporters to provide evidence(s) of any contract awarded by the assembly to the said companies.
Up till now, it has not brought forth such evidence(s). Rather, it came up with other spurious and outlandish allegations with fake documents.

The leadership of the assembly at the appropriate time will respond to these other allegations by Sahara Reporters but the goof on Rt. Hon. Ghali Umar Naaba’s has just proved what the leadership of the House of Assembly has been saying all along that Sahara reporters is a purveyor of fake news and that they should be seen so by everybody and should never be taken seriously.
