The Kano State governor, Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje has declared Tuesday, 4th July, 2017 work free day to mourn former Nigerian minister, Alhaji (Dr.) Yusuf Maitama Sule.
Dr. Maitama Sule died today (Monday, 3rd July, 2017) at a hospital in Cairo, Egypt where he was receiving treatment for an illness.
The Ganduje made this declaration through his Honourable Commissioner for Information, Mallam Muhammad Garba
Funeral prayer for the deceased will be conducted tomorrow Tuesday at the Emir’s Palace, Kofar Kudu, by 4:00pm.
