The Edo State Government in partnership with Concerned Citizens of Edo, a Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO), has intensified the sensitization campaign to check the spread of the second wave of coronavirus (COVID-19).
Members of the group stormed streets, markets and densely populated areas in Oredo Local Government Area (LGA) to drive the message and engage with the people on the need to observe government protocols to check the spread of COVID-19.
Secretary of the NGO, Mr. Orobosa Igbinoba said that the group was out to “spread word on the dangers of disregarding protocols put in place by government to check the spread of the deadly pandemic as available data showed that the second wave in Edo State is more deadly. This requires concerted efforts from all stakeholders to ensure compliance with all guidelines to curtail the second wave of the pandemic.”
