Manchester City extended their winning run to 18 matches by defeating Arsenal 1-0 at the Emirates on Sunday afternoon.

Few expected Arsenal to offer any kind of threat to the visitors and it was no surprise when City opened the scoring after just 76 seconds.

Riyad Mahrez’s pinpoint cross found Raheem Sterling unmarked in the penalty area, allowing him to use all of his 5ft 5in frame to head the ball home.

Little else happened for the rest of the match, with no further shots on target coming until after the 75th minute of play.

Arsenal will have been happy to keep the score down to 1-0, while Manchester City continued their stroll to another Premier League title.
