Max Verstappen Secures Pole Position Ahead Of Styrian Grand Prix

It was another successful qualifying session for Red Bull and Max Verstappen on Saturday, as the Dutch driver secured pole position ahead of Sunday’s Styrian Grand Prix at Red Bull Ring.

Verstappen will be joined at the front of the grid by Mercedes’ Lewis Hamilton and McLaren’s Lando Norris. Valtteri Bottas recorded the second-fastest lap, but he has a three-place grid penalty.

This is Verstappen’s third pole position of the 2021 season and the sixth of his career, so he will be hoping to replicate his success from last weekend after securing pole position at the French Grand Prix and then going on to win the race.
